Lefty's Loop Knot
Created by well-respected and innovative angler Lefty Kreh, Lefty's Loop Knot is designed to create a loop where the mainline or leader attaches to a lure, allowing the lure to move more freely and achieve maximum action.
Step 1: Create a loop or overhand knot in the mainline or leader that you will be attaching to the lure.
Step 2: Pass the tag end of the line through the tow point or attachment point on the lure and then back through the original loop that you created.
Step 3: You can now begin to wrap the tag end around the mainline or leader.
Step 4: Complete about 5 wraps around the mainline or leader, ensuring that they lay neatly.
Step 5: You can now pass the tag end back through the initial loop, lubricate the knot and pull evenly on both the tag end and mainline/leader to tighten and lock the knot, ensuring the knot forms neatly.
Step 6: Trim the tag end and you have now tied a Lefty's Loop Knot. Fish on!
