Platypus are the pioneers of monofilament line in Australia.

Platypus has always prided itself on innovation, producing Australia's first extruded nylon fishing lines in the 1960's. Since then, the range has been refined and expanded to include legendary products such as Pre-Test game fishing line, Platinum which is Australia's favourite all-round mono, and Pulse Premium, lauded by the chief technicians here as 'the best monofilament we have ever made'.
