When it comes to fishing soft plastics there are a stack of different retrieve techniques that are commonly used by anglers and it's important to vary your retrieve until you find what works during any given session.

Probabaly the most popular retrieve technique used when fishing soft plastics is the hopping retrieve. In this chapter of Soft Plastics 101 we break down the hopping retrieve, demonstrate the retrieve in action and offer some tips for fishing this retrieve effectively.
