We hit Port Phillip Bay with Cross Country Charters and Bachar Houli (Richmond Tigers) in search of the iconic King George whiting.
The Okuma Inked Egi Special 8'2" rods transfer well from squid to whiting, teamed up with Okuma Helios SX 30 reels and 15lb Platypus Super Braid. We also pulled out another whiting favourite the Okuma LRF 7'4" 2-5kg spin rods and Epixor XT 20 spinning reels, loaded with 10lb Platypus Platinum Braid.
A cuttlefish caught earlier was sliced into strips, the paternoster rigs were tied on, Zac positioned the boat on some patchy sand and weed, and the baits were deployed.
Bent rods, a tasty feed and plenty of laughs. Fish on!
