ICAST TRADE SHOW 2019 - Introduction
ICAST is the world's largest Sportfishing trade show and each year it is a hub for new product innovations and releases. This year it is again held at the Orange County Convention Centre in Orlando, Florida, USA. Hundreds of product manufacturers and distributors display their products via trade show booths and stands, spread across a massive conference centre floor area that can take days to explore. Retailers, wholesalers and media from around the world gather in one location to check out the new gear, learn from each other, share ideas, catch up with old friends and colleagues and meet new ones.
Accompanying the event is an On Water Day where attendees can 'touch and feel' the products, cast rods, swim lures, paddle kayaks, check out product demos and more. There is also a golf event, fishing tournament, state of the industry breakfast that addresses policies and management decisions that can impact the industry, press conferences, new product showcase that the media follow and share with the public and a stack of business development and other seminars on offer.
This trade event brings retailers, distributors, manufacturers, pro anglers, fishing media and more together in a positive and energetic environment that in turn keeps anglers up to date with new releases and techniques via the media coverage and also inspires the design and development of many new products by getting the industry together and also getting manufacturers, retailers, distributors, pro staff and media out on the water both before and after the event to fish, R&D products and share ideas.
